Ramadan Moon Not Sighted in Pakistan; First Roza on Sunday

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has confirmed that the moon for Ramadan 2025 was not sighted in Pakistan. Consequently, the first fast (Roza) of Ramadan will begin on Sunday, April 7, 2025. Religious authorities conducted observations in multiple locations across the country to determine the lunar calendar accurately.

Officials advised citizens to follow announcements from local mosques and government bodies regarding Sehri and Iftar timings. Communities are encouraged to prepare for the month-long observance, emphasizing spiritual reflection, charity, and communal harmony.

Religious scholars reminded the public that moon sighting remains an integral part of Islamic tradition, marking the start of Ramadan and subsequent religious activities. Authorities also highlighted safety measures and guidelines for gatherings, prayers, and community events during the holy month.

The announcement allows families, businesses, and educational institutions to plan accordingly for the commencement of Ramadan.
