These leases were also granted indefinitely, and the security deposits intended for the university treasury were allegedly misappropriated by implicated officials.
Key figures implicated in the mismanagement include the former department head, an associate professor, and several staff members. Additionally, a separate investigation into fraudulent appointments at Punjab University has been referred to the Anti-Corruption Department.
The initial inquiry recommends a comprehensive investigation and strict disciplinary measures against those found responsible.
