Islamabad web desk ..The Islamabad Food Authority conducted operations across various areas of the federal capital to combat food adulteration and counterfeit practices, ARY News reported on Sunday.
During inspections, a popular bakery and café were sealed, while eight other establishments faced heavy fines due to serious health and hygiene violations, according to the Deputy Director of the Food Authority.
Authorities seized and destroyed large quantities of substandard oil and expired food items during the crackdown. Out of 50 food outlets and production units inspected, 40 were issued notices to improve their standards.
The operation aimed to enforce food safety and hygiene regulations throughout Islamabad.
