Sindh Announces Youm-e-Ali Holiday for Schools and Colleges

KARACHI web desk …The Sindh government has declared a public holiday for educational institutions across the province on March 22 to observe Youm-e-Ali, marking the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).

According to an official notification issued by the Sindh Education Department, all government and private schools and colleges will remain closed on this occasion. The decision applies to all educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the provincial government.

Youm-e-Ali is observed annually to pay tribute to the life and sacrifices of Hazrat Ali (RA), the fourth caliph of Islam. Processions and gatherings are held across the country to commemorate the day, with security measures put in place to ensure smooth observance.

Sindh has traditionally announced holidays for religious events, and this year’s decision aligns with past practices. Educational institutions will resume their regular schedules after the observance.
