School Timings for Ramadan 2025 Announced Across Pakistan
Islamabad – Education authorities across Pakistan have announced revised school timings for the holy month of Ramadan 2025. The adjustments aim to accommodate students and staff observing fasting, ensuring a balance between academic activities and spiritual commitments.
According to official guidelines, schools will generally start later in the morning and conclude earlier in the afternoon, reducing exposure to heat and fatigue during fasting hours. While exact timings vary by province, the majority of schools will operate on a six-hour schedule with breaks for prayers and rest. Authorities have emphasized that these timings apply to both public and private educational institutions, including primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels.
Education officials stated that the revised schedule is designed to maintain the continuity of learning while respecting religious observances. “We want students and staff to focus on their studies without compromising their health or spiritual obligations during Ramadan,” said a senior official from the Ministry of Education.
Parents and educators have welcomed the decision, noting that shorter, adjusted school hours can help children concentrate better while fasting. Schools are also encouraged to organize indoor activities during peak daytime temperatures and ensure proper hydration and nutrition during pre-dawn (Sehri) and sunset (Iftar) times.
