Rain Alert Issued for Ramadan Across Punjab

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory warning of intermittent rains across Punjab during the holy month of Ramadan. According to the alert, multiple systems are likely to bring scattered showers, thunderstorms, and occasional gusty winds to several districts in the province.

Officials stated that rainfall is expected to be more frequent in central and northern Punjab, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. The wet weather may bring much-needed relief from rising temperatures but could also disrupt daily life, particularly during sehri and iftar timings.

The PMD has advised citizens to plan their Ramadan routines accordingly and urged local authorities to take precautionary measures against possible urban flooding, waterlogging, and power outages in low-lying areas. Farmers have also been cautioned to manage their crops carefully during this period.

Rescue and emergency services have been directed to remain on high alert, while district administrations have been asked to ensure timely drainage arrangements to minimize inconvenience for the public.
