PMDC Expands MDCAT 2025 Test Centers for Students’ Convenience
Islamabad – The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the expansion of MDCAT 2025 test centers across the country, aiming to make the medical college admission test more accessible for thousands of aspiring students. The move is intended to reduce travel burdens, ensure smoother examination logistics, and accommodate the increasing number of candidates each year.
According to PMDC officials, additional centers will be established in major cities as well as remote regions to provide equitable access for students. The authorities emphasized that the expansion comes in response to feedback from students, parents, and educational institutions, highlighting the need for convenience, safety, and timely test administration.
“The MDCAT is a crucial gateway for medical and dental education in Pakistan. By expanding the number of test centers, we aim to ensure that all students have a fair opportunity to take the exam without unnecessary hardship or travel stress,” said a senior PMDC official. Measures including enhanced security, digital monitoring, and well-trained invigilators will be implemented to maintain the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
Educationists and student representatives have welcomed the decision, noting that reducing travel distance and logistical challenges can help students focus better on preparation and performance. Parents, particularly from rural and less-connected areas, expressed relief that their children will no longer need to undertake long journeys for a single-day examination.
PMDC has also urged candidates to register early and stay updated on the list of newly added centers, ensuring that they select locations that best suit their convenience. The council assured that all test centers will adhere to strict safety and health protocols to safeguard students during the examination.
