KRACHI web desk …The Sindh government has introduced a new program to support the education of children of convicted prisoners, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country
At the launch ceremony held at Karachi Central Prison, Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah and Prisons Minister Hasan Ali Zardari announced that children of 4,684 convicted inmates across Sindh will receive educational support from primary school to university.
The initiative, a collaboration between the education and prisons departments and Paigham-e-Pakistan aims to prevent these children from being deprived of education due to their parents’ circumstances.
